"Dream Garden" ballerina shoes

I just love turning unusual objects into art. And these ballerina shoes were no exception. I have my book of ideas where I put down everything that pops in my mind and I think it could be great for a project. I had my Ballerina shoes in there for quite some time. But since I haven't had the idea quite clear yet on what to do with them, they stayed safe inside. But few days ago I got the idea on how to upgrade them to art and although I didn't quite know what I should do next, I went with the flow. And this is what came out of it. I have to say I adore them! They will be hanging in my daughter's bedroom to warm her heart each day!

I also made a video, if you want to make one for yourself. Hope you'll like it!

Hugs,
Aleksandra

"Be yourself"

I have a really rich project to share with you today. For some time I've had in my mind the idea to make a mixed media dress on a dress form which would be covered with feathers. Yesterday I finally had the time to start making one. I made a dress form from 13 arts paper with the help of my Cricut and then dressed it, using lots of 13 arts mixed media goodness. I finally decided to upgrade the project and incorporate the dress into a reverse canvas. I used a lot of Scrapiniec chipboards and some Wild Orchid craft gorgeous flowers. I've also made a youtube tutorial for you - this time a little bit longer, since it was quite advanced project with lots of details.

I hope you'll like it! :)
Have a great day!

Parisian Cafe

One of my biggest dreams is to visit Paris once. I just love that idea since I was a little girl. And this is quite a long time now. :D Have you been there yet? They say it is so beautiful and sooo romantic. And when I first saw the Graphic 45 collection "Cafe Parisian" I fell in love with it immediately. Not to mention that the color range of the collection was totaly perfect for me! When I got the Scrapiniec "Bistro de Paris" chipboard collection in my hand I realized they were just perfect together. So I made this shadow box with French street, Parisian Cafe and Pastry shop. I added lots of gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts Roses. I hope you'll like it! As usual there is also a youtube tutorial at the end of this post.

Enjoy the weekend dear friends! :)

Aleksandra

"Nature sketchbook" art journal page

I admired all of the art journal pages out there for some time now but I kind of couldn't gather the courage to make one myself. But yesterday I decided to jump right into in. And let me tell you... I enjoyed it so so much and I'm looking forward finding some time to create some more art journal pages.

For my first one I chose "Nature Sketcbook" from newest Graphic45 paper collection. And of course I added a lot of 13arts goodies, gorgeous Scrapiniec chipboards and few Wild orchid crafts small green roses. I hope you'll like it. I'll be happy to hear your opinion. I've also made a new youtube tutorial for you to go along. I'll be happy if you like it, share it and subscribe if you liked my video. :)

Have a great day!

Aleksandra

"Enchanted Rose" glass dome

Today I share with you my mixed media project inspired by a Disney movie that comes to the cinema this march... "Beauty and the Beast". As soon as I saw the gorgeous movie poster I fell in love and had to try and make it my own way. This is the poster I'm talking about:

The background of the story is about a beast who was once prince. An old beggar woman came to his castle requesting a shelter and offered him a rose. Prince turned the old woman away because of her haggard appearance. But the woman was actually beautiful enchantress and she turned him into a beast and put his castle under a spell because she saw that there was no love in prince's heart. She reminded him that the tru beauty lies within. She left him the rose, promising that it would bloom until his 21 birthday. If he could learn to love and earn love in return before the last petal fell, the spell would be broken.

And this is the project that was inspired by the story and pretty enchanted rose. It was made with 13 arts mediums, Scrapiniec chipboards, Wild orchid crafts flowers and Graphic 45 papers. I added some 23-carat gilding.

And I also made a youtube tutorial for you to learn to make it. :) I hope you'll like it! :)

And this project was also perfect for this month's challenge over at 13 arts: Love is in the air, so I'm happy to join the challenge:

Have a great day!
